Statue of Liberty

"And in conclusion may I please remind you it does not say R.S.V.P. on the Statue of Liberty. Thank you very much." Cher, "Clueless"

Well in 1995 this statement was true. But not anymore. Randi and Khoder went to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island last week. It wasn't until they got to the Statue that they were informed they could not enter the statue with out an RSVP. Now, it didn't say this anywhere at the ferry terminal, Liberty State Park or Ellis Island. They could only go to the STORE and park outside the statue.

Even the liberty to visit the Statue of Liberty has been taken away from us.

I think this was true, too, once upon a time...

"Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door."
